Registering Voters
One of the most important things you can do to help is to register new voters, and to update voter registrations. Each County's Election Office can train and approve Volunteer Deputy Registrars (VDR) to assist with registering new voters in that county. There is NO state-wide VDR. If you wish to be a VDR in more than one county, then you must follow the training and registration procedures for each county.
Texas law provides that a county may adopt state-wide procedures and training for the county appointment of Volunteer Deputy Registrars. More information is available here: https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/pamphlets/deputy.shtml
Below are links to Collin County's Volunteer Deputy Registrar program, followed by other nearby countys' Volunteer Deputy Registrar programs (if they have one):
NOTE: As a VDR, you will be checking for the completeness and the readability of the Voter Registration submission, but NOT verifying the accuracy of the information provided.
